Abstract

This study, titled “A Study on Consumer Perception Towards Terracotta Products with Special Reference to Coimbatore City,” focuses on understanding consumers’ attitudes, preferences, and purchase behavior toward terracotta products. The research highlights how factors such as eco-friendliness, traditional value, durability, and aesthetic appeal influence consumer perception and buying decisions. The findings show that consumers generally have a positive perception toward terracotta products and recognize their cultural significance and environmental benefits. At the same time, certain challenges such as product fragility, limited design variety, pricing concerns, and lack of effective promotion affect wider consumer acceptance. The study concludes that increasing awareness, improving product quality and innovation, expanding availability, and adopting effective marketing strategies can enhance consumer interest and future purchase intention. Overall, the research indicates that terracotta products have strong market potential and can achieve sustainable growth while preserving traditional craftsmanship and supporting environmental sustainability.
