A STUDY ON SOCIAL MARKETING STRATEGIES ADOPTED BY WOMEN SELF-HELP GROUPS (SHGS) FOR SELLING ORGANIC AND HANDICRAFTS PRODUCTS IN ERODE DISTRICT

This study focuses on the social marketing strategies adopted by Women Self Help Groups (SHGs) for selling organic and handicraft products. Women SHGs play an important role in empowering women and improving their economic conditions. The study examines the different promotional methods used by SHGs such as word of mouth, local exhibitions, social media marketing, and direct selling. It also analyzes the challenges faced by SHGs in marketing their products, including lack of awareness, limited financial resources, and competition. The research is based on primary and secondary data collected from selected SHGs. The findings highlight the effectiveness of social marketing strategies in increasing sales and customer awareness. The study concludes that proper training, digital marketing adoption, and government support can further improve the marketing performance of Women SHGs.
