The impact of medication misuse on public health
The proper use of medicines is known to improve health status and increase the quality of life in a positive sense. At the same time, the misuse of medicines is also known to adversely affect health status in a negative sense. The objective of the present research is to assess the positive and negative effects of medicines on the health status of the patients. To achieve the objective of the research, the researcher studied the available literature, hospital records, and feedback from the patients. The research findings revealed that the proper use of medicines improves the health status of the patients and reduces the hospitalization rates.
