Small retail businesses often rely on manual methods such as notebooks and registers to manage inventory, billing, and daily transactions. These traditional approaches are time-consuming and prone to human errors. This research paper presents StoreMate, a web-based store management system developed to simplify store operations for small retail businesses. The system is implemented using HTML, CSS, JavaScript for the front end and PHP with MySQL for the back end.
The proposed system allows administrators to manage product information, track inventory levels, generate customer bills, and maintain digital sales records. The system also provides reporting features that help store owners analyze sales performance and manage stock efficiently. By replacing manual record-keeping with a computerized solution, StoreMate improves accuracy, reduces workload, and enhances overall business productivity. The implementation results demonstrate that the system successfully manages store data and improves operational efficiency. The proposed solution is suitable for small and medium retail shops that require a simple, affordable, and user-friendly management system.
