COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF CUSTOMER SATISFACTION BETWEEN BRANDED AND UNBRANDED APPAREL

Abstract

The Customer satisfaction is a crucial factor in determining the success of the apparel industry, where consumers choose between branded and unbranded clothing based on various influencing factors. This study aims to analyze and compare customer satisfaction towards branded and unbranded apparel, focusing on aspects such as price, quality, comfort, design, durability, and brand image. A descriptive and analytical research design was adopted, and primary data was collected through surveys using convenience sampling and Likert scale techniques. Statistical tools such as the Chi-square test and weighted average method were applied for data analysis. The results indicate that customers with higher income levels tend to prefer branded apparel due to its superior quality, durability, and strong brand reputation. In contrast, customers with lower income levels prefer unbranded apparel because of its affordability and suitability for everyday use. The study also reveals that factors such as price, quality, design, and social influence significantly affect purchase decisions. Overall, customers are satisfied with both branded and unbranded apparel depending on their needs, preferences, and financial capacity. The study concludes that both categories have a stable demand in the market and understanding customer behavior can help businesses enhance their strategies and improve customer satisfaction.
