Abstract

Oral cavity and lip cancers are the 16th most common cancer in the world. It is widely known that a lack of public knowledge about precancerous lesions, oral cancer symptoms, and risk factors leads to diagnostic delay and therefore a lower survival rate. Worldwide oral cancer is creating an alarming situation and it’s a matter of global concern as it is the 11th most common carcinoma around the global. The etiological or risk factors include oral cancer is tobacco intake, smoking, smokeless tobacco (snuff or chewing tobacco), alcohol and areca nut intake, excessive sunlight exposure, reverse end smoking and Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) , pro-inflammatory factorrich diet, and poor oral hygiene, must be known and avoided by the general population .Most of the patients in the literature are male. The risk factors, cancer characteristics, and treatment outcomes were investigated in female patients and compared with male patients is more . Many The treatment measures for oral cancer incidence and mortality rates vary widely across the world, and the highest rates are generally registered in a few developing countries goals of treatment are not only to improve survival outcomes but also to preserve organ function . Type of oral cancer include the squamous cell carcinoma, lymphoma, sarcoma, Verrucous Carcinoma, Minor Salivary Gland Carcinoma, Lymphoma, Melanomatpye of oral cancer include the squamous cell carcinoma, lymphoma, sarcoma, Verrucous Carcinoma, Minor Salivary Gland Carcinoma, Lymphoma, Melanoma etc. These Cancers are generally treated with a combination of surgery, Radiation therapy, chemotherapy, reconstructive therapy , target therapy. The design of anti-cancer therapy employing an inhibitor of epidermal growth factor (EGF) receptor and vascular endothelial factor. Oral chemotherapy agents has been the narrow clinical setting in which their use is indicated.
